MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has adopted a formal resolution designating March 15-17 as the dates for holding next year’s presidential election, CEC Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova announced at a meeting of the elections authority.

Holding an election over a three-day voting period has become the norm in Russia, Pamfilova said earlier.

The CEC also decided to organize house-to-house voting in Russia’s four new regions, namely the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the Kherson Region and the Zaporozhye Region, as well as in the borderline Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, and in the Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol, as these nine regions of Russia face a complicated situation given that the special military operation is currently being conducted in or near their respective territories.
