ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday during talks with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that relations between Russia and Kazakhstan were developing in a friendly manner.

The Russian president said that it would be soon ten years since the basic agreement on the good-neighborliness and alliance in the 21st century was inked by the two countries.

"It [the agreement] had in fact formed a solid basis for the development of our multifaceted friendly relations, and I would like to emphasize this aspect of our relations - exactly friendly relations," Putin said.

"The strategic partnership and allied relations between our countries are steadily and successfully developing and the figures clearly speak about it," the Russian president added.
