MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Relations between Moscow and Beijing are cementing the foundation of the emerging multipolar world order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament, on Wednesday.
"Together with our Chinese friends, we are working to strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation, which has reached never-before-seen levels of trust. Foreign policy ties between Moscow and Beijing are cementing the foundation of the emerging polycentric architecture and serve as a balancing and stabilizing factor in global affairs," Lavrov pointed out.
In addition, the top diplomat noted that Russia maintained "relations of special privileged strategic partnership with India." "This is what they are called officially," Lavrov said, stressing that Moscow’s ties with Brazil, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and other friendly nations across all continents were getting stronger.
In early February, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Beijing and Moscow are constantly strengthening mutual trust, coordinating their positions in resolving global issues more and more closely.
