No plans to publish documents clarifying Russia’s negotiating position — Kremlin

It was added that Ukraine had responded to some of those documents

MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Russia’s negotiating position in talks with Ukraine has been defined in verbal and written form, Kiev has received the relevant documents and there are no plans to make them public, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, Ukraine is well aware of Russia’s demands. "That’s all I can say. They have been clarified verbally and also clearly defined in written form. The necessary draft documents were passed to the Ukrainians many days ago," he said.

When asked if those documents could be expected to be published, Peskov answered in the negative.

The Kremlin spokesman added that Ukraine had responded to some of those documents. "However, we would definitely like to receive a more substantive and prompt response every time," he noted.

Peskov declined to announce the date when the next round of talks between the two countries’ delegations would take place. "The schedule is totally flexible here so I won’t go into detail," he said. "The process is underway but we certainly would like to see more intense and meaningful talks," the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine based on a request from the heads of the Donbass republics. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans to occupy Ukrainian territories and the goal was to demilitarize and denazify the country.
