Russian forces, DPR, LPR militia in Ukraine push ahead — Russian Defense Ministry

On February 24, the Russian president launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbass republics

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. The Lugansk People’s Republic’s forces have taken over five communities - Shandrigolovo, Alexandrovka, Derilovo, Sredneye and Lozovoye - Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday. The forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic have established control of four communities - Rozovka, Truzhenka, Znamenovka and Puzatoye."

The Russian army is pushing ahead with a wide offensive in cooperation with the DPR militia to take over the communities of Pyatikhatki, Shevenkovo, Pologi, Gusarka, Novodanilovka and Scherbaki.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbass republics. He said Moscow had no plans for an occupation of Ukrainian territories. The sole purpose is the country’s demilitarization and denazification. The Russian Defense Ministry says its forces are not attacking cities. Their focus is entirely on military infrastructures. The civilian population is not in danger. After that the United States, the EU, Britain and a number of other countries said they were imposing sanctions on Russian individuals and legal entities.
