SOLNECHNOGORSK /Moscow Region/, August 3. /TASS/. A number of anti-Russian groups seek to marginalize Russia in the Council of Europe, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Tuesday.

She noted that the biggest problem in the organization currently is the politicization of all matters by anti-Russian groups.

"Unfortunately, we often see how all matters discussed within this structure’s various institutions in regards to Russia are being politicized," she said, underscoring that these groups do not intend to cooperate with Moscow to resolve the existing problems.

"They absolutize the existing problems so that they can constantly have a pretext to marginalize our country," Zakharova said. "This is the main problem."

She noted that any matter could be resolved if a good will is present.
