BANGKOK, March 28. /TASS/. At least one worker died when a building in Bangkok collapsed after an earthquake in neighboring Myanmar, the Thai Siam News portal reported.
It said another 80 people have not been heard from since the incident. According to the Khaosod newspaper, at least 67 workers are trapped under the rubble.
An earthquake with a magnitude ranging from 7.7 to 7.9, according to different sources, struck Myanmar and was followed by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. Tremors were felt in China, Thailand, and Vietnam. In Bangkok, the subway is non-operational, and residents of the capital living in high-rise buildings were urged to evacuate their homes.
