KALININGRAD, February 15. /TASS/. Twenty-six vehicles were involved in a collision on a highway in the Kaliningrad Region. According to preliminary reports from the traffic police, eight individuals sustained injuries in the accident.
"On February 15, six collisions occurred on the Primorskoe Semicircle highway, involving a total of 26 vehicles and resulting in eight injuries, including one minor," the news release stated.
Traffic police officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incidents on site. The regional prosecutor's office is also conducting inquiries. Reports indicate that a gasoline tanker and a passenger bus were among the vehicles involved in the collisions.
Later vehicle traffic has been restored following a major accident, according to traffic police.
"The movement of vehicles on the Primorskoye Semicircle highway has been fully restored after a significant accident," the news release states.
