MOSCOW, January 22. /TASS/. Electricity consumption in Russia amounted to 1.179 trillion kWh in 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak wrote in an op-ed for the Energy Policy magazine.

"Electricity consumption amounted to 1,179 bln kWh in 2025, according to current data," he noted.

In 2025, decisions were made to build new generation in Siberia, the South, and the Far East, Novak added.
