Number of Russian billionaires climbs to record high 146 — Forbes

The total wealth of the richest Russians also climbed to a record high $625.5 bln over the year, the Russian edition of Forbes says

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The number of Russian billionaires has reached a new all-time high, and so has their combined wealth, according to the latest rankings from Forbes.

According to the ranking, 146 Russian nationals are now on the list of the world's richest people, breaking the previous record of 125 set last year.

The total wealth of the richest Russians also climbed to a record high $625.5 bln over the year, the Russian edition of Forbes says.

Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov tops the list of the richest Russians with a staggering fortune of $28.7 bln. Severstal founder Alexey Mordashov is second ($28.6 bln). And Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson is third with a net worth of $28.4 bln.
