MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Sales of new heavy commercial vehicles plummeted in Russia by 50% year on year in February to 4,300 units, the Avtostat analytical agency said.
"In February 2025, 4,300 heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) were sold in our country. This is 50% less than in February 2024 and 2% smaller against the January level," the agency said.
Kamaz was the bestseller in February with 1,190 trucks. The top five also comprises China’s Sitrak (1,053 vehicles), Shacman (398), FAW (381), and Belarusian MAZ (311 vehicles).
As of the end of January - February 2025, 8,800 heavy haulers were sold in Russia, down 41% against the like period of 2024.
