Russia boosts edible salt export by 60% in 2024 — Agroexport

Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia were the top three importers of salt in physical terms as of the end of the last year

MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Russian edible salt exports surged by 60% year on year according to preliminary expert estimates and was above 45,000 metric tons, the Agroexport federal center reported.

"According to preliminary estimates of experts, Russian edible salt exports was above 45,000 metric tons in 2024. Therefore, exports grew by 60% in physical terms," the center informed.

Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia were the top three importers of salt in physical terms as of the end of the last year.

Russia exported 28,000 metric tons of salt as of the end of 2023.
