According to Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the price swings could climb to $30 per MMBTU or $85-102 per MWh

NEW DELHI, February 11. /TASS/. Price swings for liquefied natural gas (LNG) imported by Europe may climb to as high as $25-30 per million of British thermal units (MMBTU) or approximately $85-102 per MWh, Qatar’s Energy Minister and CEO of Qatar Energy Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi said at the India Energy Week conference.

"LNG today in Europe has spiked up to $15-16," Al-Kaabi said. "These spikes that you're seeing going to $16 could go to $25 and $30," he added.

In December 2024, Qatar became the third largest LNG exporter globally after the US and Australia, according to the report of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
