Russia targets digital tech partnerships with EAEU, Asia — rating

Latin American and African countries make up the second and third groups

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Asia and the Middle East the top Russia’s list for who it wants to work with in the sphere of digital technologies and technological leadership, according to the rating posted by the Digital Economy autonomous nonprofit organization.

The analysis identified 68 countries, categorized into three priority groups for digital technology collaboration and leadership. "The first priority group comprises 22 countries, with the majority of them being member-nations of the EAEU and Asian and Middle East countries," the rating indicates.

Latin American and African countries make up the second and third groups.

The rating can be used as a good guide for Russian companies deciding which international markets to enter. "Various comparative criteria underlie the methodology for the country analysis, with economic integration and cooperation levels, economic and digital development levels, export volumes of Russian IT products and cultural aspects, such as presence of a language barrier, being among them," the organization said.
