MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Exports of Russian agricultural products since the beginning of 2024 increased in physical terms by almost 10% in comparison with the same period last year. At the same time, there was a slight decrease in value terms, which can be overcome by the end of the year, Head of the federal center Agroexport Dmitry Krasnov said.
"We have seen a slight decrease in value, but I think that by the end of 2024 we will overcome this decrease and will be somewhere at the level of last year and in physical volume, exports have increased by almost 10%. On the one hand, we understand that this is a good figure and on the other hand, it shows us a lot, including the pressure on the export infrastructure," Krasnov said.
He also noted the serious potential for further development of exports of meat, dairy, and finished products, which have shown extraordinary dynamics this year. For example, meat supplies increased by 20% in value terms, poultry and beef - by 12-13%, pork - by almost 40%.
In October 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel that Russia plans to supply over 108 mln tons of agricultural products to foreign markets this year.
In 2023, the volume of deliveries of Russian agricultural products to foreign markets amounted to $43.5 bln. In total, more than 100 mln tons of food products were exported.
