The foreign trade surplus of Russia dropped by $3.2 bln in annual terms and totaled $6.3 bln in November 2024.
"The surplus of foreign trade in goods contracted to $6.3 bln against the updated indicator of October 2024 on account of more substantial decline in exports of goods as compared to the drop in imports," the regulator noted.
The current account surplus grew to $57.4 bln as of the end of January - November 2024 against $49.5 bln a year earlier. The key role was played by the increase in the trade balance surplus, the Central Bank noted.
The current account surplus in this November declined by $1.6 bln monthly to $3.2 bln in November 2024 largely due to the decline of the foreign trade surplus," the regulator informed.
