Excluding Russia from energy market will lead to global economy collapse — Rosneft CEO

According to Igor Sechin, Russia has a huge and diverse resource base and occupies a special place in the world

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, December 5. /TASS/. Excluding Russia from the energy market and attempts to limit the use of the dollar in trade will inevitably lead to the collapse of the global economy, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said at the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.

"The policy of excluding Russia from the energy market is the same mistake as in the case of using the dollar as an instrument of sanctions, which will inevitably lead to the collapse of the global economy," he noted.

According to him, Russia has a huge and diverse resource base and occupies a special place in the world. The total value of the country's natural resources is $100 trillion, which is almost twice the value of the United States.
