West preventing Russian agricultural exports — Lavrov

"The lion’s share of grain supplies from Ukraine goes at dumping prices as fodder to the European Union and not to the poorest countries," the top diplomat said

NEW DELHI, March 2. /TASS/. The West is creating obstacles to Russian agricultural exports, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday at the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting.

"Obstructions are being openly thrown against exports of Russian agricultural produce globally, no matter how the EU representatives are convincing everyone that it is not so," the Minister said.

"It’s time to stop playing the food card," Lavrov said. "The cause of the crisis is in the West’s actions, which printed trillions of dollars and euros at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, feverishly buying food stocks worldwide," the Russian top diplomat said. "The lion’s share of grain supplies from Ukraine goes at dumping prices as fodder to the European Union and not to the poorest countries," he added.
