ABU DHABI, February 17. /TASS/. The world's largest manufacturers of armaments and military equipment presented their products at the IDEX-2025 international show that opened in the Emirati capital on Monday, according to a TASS reporter.
The exposition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre showcases developments in the defense industry of the US, the UK, Germany, France and other countries that are considered major arms manufacturers. Such international companies as Boeing, Dassault Aviation, General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Saab and Thales set up their stands at the show.
One of the main pavilions belongs to the Emirati state conglomerate EDGE, which unites 25 defense companies. Organizers of the Emirati exposition told TASS that the conglomerate presented 46 new systems and solutions at the exhibition. Among them are the FA-400 patrol vessel, fully designed and built in the UAE, and the HT-750 heavy drone with reconnaissance, surveillance and cargo delivery capabilities.
Seven new countries are participating in IDEX-2025: Cyprus, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Qatar, Romania and Hungary.
"This year's exhibition features 41 national pavilions, the largest of which is the UAE pavilion with an area of 25,000 square meters. A total of 213 national companies are taking part in the event," ADNEC Group CEO Humaid Matar Al-Dhaheri told reporters.
The Russian display with an area of almost 1,000 square meters is located in a common pavilion and unites more than 40 enterprises of the Russian defense industry. One of the main Russian novelties is the T-90MS tank, which is being demonstrated abroad for the first time in an updated layout.
IDEX-2025 will be held in the Emirati capital from February 17 to 21. The previous exhibition, held in 2023, was visited by more than 132,000 people from 65 countries. According to the organizers, IDEX-2023 participants signed contracts worth $6.35 billion.
