DONETSK, December 13. /TASS/. The Ukrainian forces attempted to attack Donetsk with long-range missiles, but the attack was repelled by the Russian missile defense system, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said on his Telegram channel.
"At 7 p.m., the Ukrainian militants attempted to attack the DPR capital with long-range missiles. Fragments of the downed missiles dropped in the Kievsky District. Thanks to the successful operation of our air defenses, casualties and serious damage was avoided. The attack damaged windows in several apartment buildings in the Kievsky District of Donetsk," he said.
He added that two civilian infrastructure objects were also damaged in two districts of Gorlovka on Friday.
"The Ukrainian militants carried out six armed attacks. The used 227-mm rocket-propelled artillery (HIMARS) and 155-mm artillery," he specified.
Previously, emergency services told TASS that a Ukrainian missile was downed over downtown Donetsk on Friday. The shockwave shattered windows in several buildings. The Ukrainian forces attempted several attack on the center of Donetsk, launching several missiles.
