KALININGRAD, December 9. /TASS/. To eliminate competition, Moscow’s opponents are trying to stop Russian weapons from reaching the international market, but this strategy is not working, Andrey Puchkov, CEO of Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation, told reporters.
"As for our foreign economic activities, it’s evident that Russia’s opponents are doing all they can to prevent much sought-after Russia-made weapons and military equipment from reaching the international market, fearing any competition. However, as you can see, we still find ways to make sure that our customers get what they need," Puchkov said at a ceremony to hand the Project 11356 frigate Tushil over to the Indian Navy, which took place in Russia’s westernmost exclave of Kaliningrad.
On Monday, Kaliningrad’s Yantar shipbuilding plant hosted a ceremony where Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport handed the Tushil frigate over to the Indian Navy. This is the fourth frigate built for India at the Kaliningrad shipbuilding facility. The ship was designed by the United Shipbuilding Corporation’s Severnoye design bureau.
