MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 38,800 servicemen during the fighting in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"In total, during the military operations in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 38,865 servicemen, 232 tanks, 169 infantry fighting vehicles, 123 armored personnel carriers, 1,231 armored combat vehicles, 1,096 vehicles, 308 artillery pieces, 40 multiple launch rocket system launchers, including 11 HIMARS and 6 MLRS, 13 anti-aircraft missile system launchers, 7 transport and loading vehicles, 72 electronic warfare stations, 13 anti-battery radars, 4 air defense radars," the Defense Ministry said.
At the same time, units of Russia’s North battlegroup defeated formations of brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near 11 settlements in Kursk Oblast, including near Plekhov, the Ministry said.
"Units of Russia’s North battlegroup defeated formations of three mechanized, heavy mechanized, tank, three airborne assault brigades, a marine brigade, a security brigade, as well as three territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Agronom, Viktorovka, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Martynovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo, and Sverdlikovo," the ministry said.
The daily losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region amounted to over 380 servicemen, while three surrendered, the Ministry added.
"Over 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 380 servicemen. One armored fighting vehicle, four vehicles, and three mortars were destroyed. Three servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces surrendered," it said.
