Rosoboronexport chief says it offers Ak Bars shipbuilding products to international buyers

According to Alexander Mikheyev, the products are in demand

DUBAI, November 14. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport offers products made for the export market by the Ak Bars shipbuilding company to international buyers, Alexander Mikheyev, the chief executive of Rosoboronexport, said at the Dubai Airshow 2023.

"Yes, we are working with Ak Bars. It is a partner of Rosoboronexport. The products are in demand. <...> We are doing marketing work. However, our competitors sometimes start to disavow our capabilities in these countries, or the sanctions policy does not allow us to achieve the results we expect. The ship production cycle is three to four years. It takes a long time. But we are confident that we are on the right track. We have full cooperation, we are doing the marketing, and I hope that in the near future we will have orders for Ak Bars," Mikheyev said.

Earlier, the head of the corporation, Renat Mistakhov, told TASS that Ak Bars and Rosoboronexport are working to offer ships with an export version of the Pantsir-ME naval anti-aircraft missile-artillery system to the global market.

The Dubai Airshow is one of the largest international aerospace exhibitions. The event is held every two years, and Russia has taken part in it since 1993. This year, the airshow features 20 national pavilions, with over 1,400 manufacturers displaying more than 180 aircraft. The exhibition runs from November 13 to 17.
