Ukrainian Research Center is again hiring staff for US labs — Russian Defense Ministry

Igor Kirillov noted that the financing of dual-purpose projects is carried out by the US Department of Defense through a system of grants, and the distribution of funds is entrusted to the URC and the International Research Center

MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Research Center, which participates in US programs of dual-purpose biological research, has announced that it is again hiring staff for US biolabs, Chief of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Force Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said on Friday.

"Please pay your attention to the questionnaire for students of special courses that’s available on the URC website. The compulsory condition for participating in them is background in dual-purpose research. The chosen candidates will be provided online education from April 24 to 26 of 2023, and it’s planned to simultaneously organize an in-person meeting in Warsaw. During the meeting the participants will be offered to continue work on covert projects in and out of Ukraine," he said.

"We do not exclude that under the guise of such courses, measures will be taken to prepare provocations with biological weapons and launch a media campaign against the Russian Federation," Kirillov said. According to him, to implement the tasks set, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defense uses the potential of biologists not only from Ukraine, but also from the states of Central Asia and Transcaucasia, and work in this direction is planned by the US administration for a period of at least until 2025.

Kirillov added that the financing of dual-purpose projects is carried out by the US Department of Defense through a system of grants, and the distribution of funds is entrusted to the URC and the International Research Center. He said that the head of this organization is former Director of the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency Ronald Lehman.
