BEIJING, March 24. /TASS/. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has denied reports alleging that Chinese officials are discussing sending a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine after the conflict ends, Guo Jiakun, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said at a news briefing.
"I’d like to emphasize that corresponding reports are absolutely false," the Chinese diplomat stated.
Guo also mentioned that China is seeking "to continue working with the international community toward peace talks and creating conditions for a ceasefire and ending the conflict."
Earlier, Germany’s Welt am Sonntag reported, citing sources, that China is evaluating a potential role in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine alongside the European Union once the conflict concludes.
