Iraqi tankers can cross Strait of Hormuz — Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad

Two tankers were attacked in the Iraqi waters a day before the statement

RABAT, March 13. /TASS/. Iraqi tankers can cross the Strait of Hormuz freely, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq said.

"Iraqi tankers can cross the Strait of Hormuz," the Baghdad Today portal quoted the ambassador as saying.

About a day before Al-Sadeq’s statement, two tankers were attacked in the Iraqi territorial waters and caught fire. Iraq’s port authority announced that it was suspending the operations of oil terminals in its seaports.
