TEL AVIV, December 27. /TASS/. The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on the infrastructure on the Syrian-Lebanese border, the IDF press office reported.
According to the IDF, the strikes targeted infrastructure facilities near the Janta checkpoint, used for smuggling of weapons for Hezbollah militias in Lebanon.
"These strikes are an additional part of IDF’s efforts aimed at thwarting weapons smuggling from Syria to Lebanon and prevention of the reopening of Hezbollah arms smuggling routes. The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel in accordance with the ceasefire agreements," the statement says.
