Israeli military shells Syria after detecting rocket fire from that country

There were no reports of casualties

TEL AVIV, December 3. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces said it detected a rocket fired from Syria and shelled the source of fire with artillery.

"Earlier today, a rocket was fired from Syria at northern Israel. The projectile was not intercepted in accordance with the protocol. IDF artillery shelled the source of fire," the IDF said in a statement.

"Separately, terrorists fired an anti-tank guided missile overnight, which landed in an open area near the northern community of Yiftah. There were no reports of casualties," the statement said.

The IDF said it shelled some sites in Lebanon with artillery.
