Russia’s Zub to return to Ottawa Senators after leg injury

The defenseman missed 16 matches due to a broken leg

OTTAWA, January 3. /TASS/. Russian national Artyom Zub, a defenseman of Ottawa Senators, will return to the team for the nearest regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against Dallas Stars, Alex Adams, a Sportsnet TV channel journalist, said on X.

The game will take place at 4:00 a.m. Moscow time (1:00 a.m. GMT) on January 3. Zub missed 16 matches due to a broken leg. The Russian defenseman has played 11 games and made 2 goal assists this season.

Zub is 29 years old and has been playing for Ottawa Senators since 2020. In the Kontinental Hockey League, he played for Amur Khabarovsk and SKA St. Petersburg, as a member of which he became the winner of the Gagarin Cup (2017). The defenseman is also the 2018 Olympic champion and has become the bronze medalist of two World Championships (2017 and 2019).
