FSB nabs 60 cohorts of Ukraine-run neo-Nazi gang in nationwide bust

At the detainees’ places of residence, the authorities confiscated civilian smoothbore hunting weapons and munitions without licenses, homemade firearms, bladed weapons

MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. The Federal Security Service (FSB) has apprehended 60 sympathizers of the Ukraine-based MKU neo-Nazi gang in 23 regions across Russia, the FSB’s Public Relations Center told TASS on Wednesday.

"Thanks to its coordinated work in 23 regions across the Russian Federation, the Federal Security Service, acting jointly with the Interior Ministry and the Investigative Committee, apprehended 60 supporters of the Ukrainian MKU neo-Nazi youth group created by Ukrainian citizen Yegor Krasnov born in 2000 under the guidance of the Ukrainian special services for committing terror attacks, mass murder and extremist crimes in Russia," the press service said.

At the detainees’ places of residence, the authorities confiscated civilian smoothbore hunting weapons and munitions without licenses, homemade firearms, bladed weapons, and communication devices containing correspondence with Krasnov, along with photo and video footage of the so-called direct actions. In addition, instructions on carrying out the said direct actions and on recruiting new members to the extremist organization, along with the neo-Nazi structure’s terrorist activities were also uncovered.
