OSCE stays mum on Ukraine’s shelling of polling stations in Russian election — MFA

According to Maria Zakharova, Western non-governmental organizations and other specialized agencies ignoring Kiev’s actions is a crime

MOSCOW, March 20./TASS/. The OSCE European security agency chose to ignore the shelling of polling stations by Ukrainian troops during the Russian presidential election, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing.

The diplomat reiterated that on March 15, Kiev struck two polling stations in the Kherson Region. In addition, on March 16, a drone dropped explosives five meters from the entrance to a polling station in the settlement of Blagoveshchenka, while on March 17 a female member of the local election commission in Berdyansk was killed as a result of shelling from Ukrainian troops.

"Where is the OSCE? Where, I would like to ask, are all those who foamed at the mouth that it was necessary to monitor the Russian presidential election in 2024. Can't you see from Vienna how polling stations are being shelled? Isn't there enough information for you this time to make a strong protest against everything that the Kiev regime is doing?" she asked.

According to Zakharova, Western non-governmental organizations and other specialized agencies ignoring Kiev’s actions is a crime.

"Where are all these numerous NGOs? Where are all the special rapporteurs of special committees and tribunals that are so concerned about the situation around Ukraine? You see people being shot dead by the Kiev regime in hospitals, in schools, at polling stations. And you stay quiet. This is a historic crime. It's not even a betrayal any longer. You have betrayed the people you care so much about. You have been betraying them over all these years. Now you are committing a real crime," the diplomat summed up.

Voting in the Russian presidential election took place over three days on March 15-17.
