MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. The Russian president’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, refuted Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s claims that the Russian troops allegedly have no success on the battlefield.
"This is not true," the Kremlin spokesman said in an interview with the Izvestia daily.
Over the past day, Zelensky made such claims a few times, including during his visit to Norway and the United States.
Commenting on his remarks, Peskov added: "Anyway, the United States has powerful military intelligence. So they are perfectly aware of the situation on the battlefield and of the losses sustained by the armed forces of Ukraine, both in manpower and equipment."
He said Washington was almost certainly informed about the fact that Kiev troops "lack any kind of offensive potential.".
