MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russia's next president should be "just like" Vladimir Putin, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the student news channel MGIMO 360.

"Just like him [Putin]," he said when asked what Russia's next president should be like. In response to a clarifying question about whether such a thing was possible, Peskov said, "A different version, but still just like him."

Russia’s presidential election will be held on March 17, 2024. The Russian Federation Council will make an official decision on the date of the election in December 2023, after which political parties must hold their pre-election congresses and officially nominate candidates. Putin is eligible to run for another term, but has not yet spoken about his decision on the matter.
