US just prolongs conflict in Ukraine, won’t change course of Russian operation — Kremlin

"Russia will achieve its goals," Dmitry Peskov said

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Although the US is stoking the conflict in Ukraine, it will not change the general course of events, but only prolong the hostilities, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"The main helmsman in this process is the US, not Kiev by any means. Therefore, the longer the US will add oil to the fire with its actions, its direct involvement in the conflict, the longer everything will continue. But it will not be able to change the course of events. Russia will achieve its goals," he said.

Commenting on the refusal by the new Slovak government to supply arms to Kiev, Peskov said that wasn’t much of a change to the big picture.

"Slovakia's share in providing [Ukraine] with arms was not that large," he said.
