Russia will not support IAEA resolution on Iran if it is approved this week — envoy

The intent of Western participants in Vienna talks to approve the resolution on Iran at the current session of the IAEA Board of Governors is rather counter-productive for JCPOA, Mikhail Ulyanov said

MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. Russia will not associate itself with the resolution on Iran if it is approved at the current session of the IAEA Board of Governors, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said in his Telegram channel.

"It is becoming increasingly more obvious that the intent of Western participants in Vienna talks to approve the resolution on Iran at the current session of the IAEA Board of Governors is rather counter-productive for JCPOA," the envoy said. "Russia in no circumstances will associate itself with such resolution," Ulyanov added.
