State Duma to discuss ECHR rulings, parallel import

The package of draft laws on non-performance of ECHR rulings will be discussed in the second reading

MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. The State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, will consider draft laws on non-performance of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) rulings and parallel import legalization at the plenary session on Tuesday.

The package of draft laws on non-performance of ECHR rulings will be discussed in the second reading. According to amendments suggested for the second reading, ECHR rulings issued after March 15 of this year (from the date of the Russia’s statement on withdrawal from the Council of Europe) will not be performed. Compensations under ECHR rulings will only be paid in rubles and to accounts with Russian banks.

The State Duma will also review the draft law on parallel import legalization in the first reading.

Chairman of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic Vladimir Bidevka will also speak during the session.
