Lavrov to hold talks with Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister in Moscow Thursday

The two top diplomats are expected to discuss political, economic and legal issues related to both countries’ interests

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. The foreign ministers of Russia and Saudi Arabia, Sergey Lavrov and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, will hold talks in Moscow on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"On January 14, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov is holding talks with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who will be in Moscow on a working visit," the foreign ministry said indicating that it would be their first face-to-face meeting.

The Foreign Ministry noted the friendly and multifaceted nature of ties between Russia and Saudi Arabia, in particular the intensive contacts at the highest level. The two top diplomats are expected to discuss political, economic and legal issues related to both countries’ interests.
