KURSK, January 2. /TASS/. Only civilian facilities were damaged in a missile strike on the village of Ivanovskoye in Russia’s Kursk Region, acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein said on his Telegram channel.
"The strikes caused damage only to peaceful civilian facilities. One strike in particular was targeted at the town hall building, with its level of destruction and recoverability to be determined by experts," he wrote.
A boarding school, which had earlier evacuated its students, a post office, and a shopping mall were also damaged by shrapnel, the acting regional head added. According to preliminary information, windows in one residential building were destroyed.
The official emphasized that he is personally engaged in continuous monitoring of the situation.
