Telegram notifies media watchdog it is unable to disclose source codes

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Messenger Telegram has notified the Russian telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor it is technically impossible for it to disclose its source codes to the federal security service FSB, the company’s lawyer Pavel Chikov told TASS on Monday.

"We have dispatched a notification to Roskomnadzor it is technically impossible to comply with Part 4.1 of Article 10.1 of the federal law of July 27, 2006 (On Information and Protection of Information and Information Technologies)," he said.
