Lovit provider’s infrastructure attacked from US, other countries — Russian watchdog

The attack reached 219.06 Gbit per second at its peak and the rate was up to 22.39 mln packets per second

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. A DDoS attack against the infrastructure of Russian provider Lovit is predominantly implemented from abroad, particularly from the US, Germany, Sweden and other countries, the press service of the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecomunications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications, Roskomnadzor, told TASS.

"On March 21, the infrastructure of Lovit provider was subjected to a mass DDoS attack predominantly from abroad. The geography of attacking servers and botnets: the US, Germany, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, France, Croatia, the United Kingdom and Russia," the watchdog said.

The attack reached 219.06 Gbit per second at its peak and the rate was up to 22.39 mln packets per second. Its capacity declined later to 36.59 Gbit per second and the rate dropped to 4.01 mln packets per second, the press service added.
