Russia to boost fertilizer exports by 5% in 2025 — Association

Russian fertilizer producers set the record of production (63 mln metric tons) and exports in 2024

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Mineral fertilizers production may grow by 3% this year to 65 mln metric tons and exports from Russia may edge up by almost 5% to 44 mln metric tons, head of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAFP) Andrey Guryev said in an interview with the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.

"As far as exports are concerned, considering the situation in the global market, it may reach 44 mln metric tons as of the end of the year, being 2 mln metric tons above the last-year maximum. Sector plants are planning their production programs on that basis. The result of their implementation can be production of record-high 65 mln metric tons of mineral fertilizers in 2025," Guryev said.

Russian fertilizer producers set the record of production (63 mln metric tons) and exports last year. Fertilizer exports totaled 42 mln metric tons. Growth leaders are countries of Asia (+36%), Latin America (+25%) and Africa (5%).
