Putin notes positive dynamics in Russian economy

The domestic demand is becoming "the leading economic growth factor and goes to the forefront," the head of state said

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Russian economy demonstrates positive dynamics, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday at the meeting with Cabinet members.

"The Russian economy is known to demonstrate positive dynamics since last July, including on account of niches of Western companies that left our market being developed by the business, and owing to proactive development of ties with fast-growing countries of the East and the South," the head of state said.

"The return to the growth path should not relax us. There is a need to support and strengthen positive trends in our economy, improve its efficiency, ensure technological, human and financial sovereignty, and actions should be quick at the same time, without excess bureaucracy and red tape, since illegitimate restrictions introduced against our economy can indeed affect it adversely in the midterm," the Russian leader noted.

The domestic demand is becoming "the leading economic growth factor and goes to the forefront," Putin said. The foreign trade turnover between Russia and its main foreign partners is growing at the same time, he added.
