MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The promising T-14 Armata tank will go into service with the Russian Army by the end of 2024, given a successful completion of state and troop trials, two sources in the Russian defense industry told TASS.
"The Armata [tank] is currently undergoing state and troop trials, and, if they are successfully completed, the tank may enter service with the Russian Army before the end of 2024," one of the sources said.
The other source confirmed this information to TASS as he added that, during the trials, "particular attention is paid to the performance of those systems and mechanisms which previously drew criticism from the client."
TASS does not have an official confirmation of this information.
The T-14 Armata tank is Russia’s main battle tank featuring an unmanned turret. The third-generation tank, designed by the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering, has been manufactured at Uralvagonzavod since 2021.
