SOFIA, March 10. /TASS/. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has called on European countries to support the US in its efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.
"I call on Europe to support the US and cooperate with them so that their political will leads to a ceasefire, and then at the negotiating table, using diplomatic instruments and other possible mechanisms, they can find a solution that guarantees a fair and sustainable peace [in Ukraine]," Radev said at a briefing following talks with Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic, who is in Bulgaria on an official visit.
The Bulgarian President stressed that "Europe cannot achieve peace from a position of strength." "It is immoral that Europe is pushing Ukraine to continue the war, having declared that it will seek peace through force. This is absolutely impossible. This is a brutal clash with reality, which is leading Ukraine to disaster and Europe to a dead end. Because of such a policy, the number of victims will grow, Ukraine will lose territory, and the destruction will become even more extensive," the Bulgarian leader believes.
