Trump denies media reports about going to Moscow on May 9 for Victory Day Parade

French weekly magazine Le Point reported earlier in the week that Trump would possibly visit Moscow on May 9 and meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin

WASHINGTON, February 22. /TASS/. President of the United States Donald Trump told journalists that he was not going to Moscow to attend a parade in the Russian capital on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

French weekly magazine Le Point reported earlier in the week that Trump would possibly visit Moscow on May 9 and meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that in their phone conversation, the two leaders agreed to stay in touch and arrange an in-person meeting. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that as soon as the meeting between the two presidents is confirmed, the world will be informed.
