Israel Defense Forces reports killing two field commanders in West Bank

Tarek Doush was eliminated in a strike by an IDF aircraft, and Dossam Awfi, a significant military operative in the Tulkarm terrorist network, was also eliminated together with two additional terrorists

TEL AVIV, December 20. /TASS/. An Israeli warplane delivered a strike on a group of radicals in the West Bank city of Tulkarm, killing two field commanders and two militants, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

"One of the heads of the Tulkarm terrorist network, Tarek Doush, was eliminated in a strike by an IDF aircraft," the IDF said. "Along with Tarek, the terrorist Dossam Awfi, a significant military operative in the Tulkarm terrorist network, was also eliminated together with two additional terrorists."

According to the IDF, Doush "recruited numerous terrorists, armed and funded by Iran and by Lebanese terror operatives <…> to plan and execute terrorist attacks against Israelis."

The Tulkarm terrorist network "carried out multiple shooting attacks against IDF soldiers, as well as shooting attacks against checkpoints and communities" and also "planned to execute terrorist attacks in Israeli territory," the press service said.
