MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Russian billionaire Oleg Boiko has been put on Poland’s sanction list.
Polish Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak made a decision to blacklist Boiko, who is supervisory board chairman of Finstar Financial Group, on December 12. The move was motivated by the findings of Poland’s Internal Security Agency, which claimed that the Russian businessman runs companies operating on Poland’s short-term loan market via a team of 4Finace group managers, despite the absence of formal ties with them.
According to the interior ministry’s decision, the man will be banned from entering Poland and his assets in the country will be frozen.
Boiko also faces sanctions in Ukraine and Australia, however, Canada lifted its sanctions off him in November 2023. According to the Forbes, Boiko’s wealth is estimated at $1.2 billion.
