MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Ukraine’s frontline is collapsing under the onslaught of the Russian armed forces, and Kiev is facing the worst situation since the beginning of the military conflict, said Maria Berlinskaya, founder of the Ukrainian Center for the Support of Aerial Intelligence.
"What am I seeing? That indeed the front is coming apart. But this is obvious to everyone from open sources. Here is what is obvious to me: The situation is not the same as it was in the spring of 2022, but much worse. It is probably the worst moment in the whole war," she said in an interview with the Ukrainian news outlet Telegraf. "Objectively, the Russians are advancing rapidly, and the front is collapsing."
Berlinskaya also noted the demoralization of Ukrainian society that, she said, is brought about by the actions of the country's military and political leadership and the corruption of officials. For example, one of the reasons is news reports that officials obtain disability certifications for themselves, exemptions from military mobilization, while also stashing away "kilograms of cash in their mattresses."
BBC earlier reported, citing analysts, that the eastern front on the battlefield could collapse if Russian forces keep up the current momentum of their advance. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky conceded in early November that Ukrainian troops were dealing with one of the most powerful Russian offensives since February 2022.
