Israel announces another four-hour pause in hostilities in Rafah

TEL AVIV, November 20. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces has announced another four-hour pause in hostilities in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, army spokesman Avihai Edri said.

"Today, the army will suspend hostilities for humanitarian purposes in the western Rafah area between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. GMT - TASS)," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Edri added that a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of civilians from the Daraj-Tuffah, Jabalia and Shujaiya neighborhoods of Gaza City would operate until 2:00 p.m. GMT. The route runs along the Salah al-Din Road to the south of the enclave. The Israel Defense Forces started to implement four-hour humanitarian pauses in various parts of Gaza on November 12. On November 19, the army announced a four-hour ceasefire in the Rafah refugee camp area. On November 18, hostilities were suspended for four hours in the Al-Shabura refugee camp in the same area.
