LUGANSK, May 31. /TASS/. It is not entirely appropriate yet to make predictions as to when Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) forces will reach the republic’s constitutional borders, LPR head Leonid Pasechnik said in an interview for TASS.
"It is not entirely appropriate to make predictions as to when we will liberate the republic completely, reach our constitutional borders. The enemy, sensing its upcoming defeat, is behaving aggressively, opens fire both on our frontline settlements and the recently liberated ones," he said.
LPR forces with Russian support have already liberated about 95%of the republic’s territory, Pasechnik noted, adding that this work continues.
Nevertheless, the LPR head admitted that liberation of almost all settlements was problematic.
"It is possible to say about liberation of almost every settlement that it was problematic. War is not an easy business. We needed a lot of time to liberate Rubezhnoye and Popasnaya, for example," he said.
